Dual-Boot your HD2 with Android and Windows Phone 7

January 25th, 2011 HTC Themes No comments

dualboot
HTC HD2 is one of the upcoming incredible and exciting device out there today. Yes I’m using those power words because apparently, the XDA Developers has developed a system where you can run both Android and Windows Phone 7 from NAND (it’s the internal storage of the device) with just an SD card.

You now have the ability to DUAL-BOOT by just following the instructions!

Although this may sound cool, you need to know that you have to follow 23 steps.

This isn’t for the faint hearted because one mistake can ruin your phone.

But it doesn’t matter because there is a hardcore device flasher so instructions wouldn’t be a problem.

Is HTC’s Tablet going tobe named as Scribe?

January 20th, 2011 HTC Themes No comments

htc tablet
The tablet market has been the big trend these days. Amazon has started with it years ago. The Apple Company only made the tablet a bigger competitor in the market because well, they’re Apple.

Samsung has already stepped into the scene months ago and now, it looks like HTC is going to step into the Tablet wars too.

A picture leaked into the internet on an application that HTC has already done. This application only has the date of filing.
A Taiwanese firm trademarked the name “HTC Scribe”.

This application was supposed to be filed for a handheld wireless device…namely a TABLET COMPUTER.

Will Stofega the program director said “This will provide an alternative for the iPad.” I’m hoping it does because the iPad is expensive.

There is no statement about the date to be released or how would the tablet look like. But it would be awesome if it would run on a High Resolution screen and a minimum of a dual core processor or something like that.

It looks like HTC is setting up for something big along with the release of the new lines of Desire and Legend. What we can do now is wait..wait and wait.

These two new release are now part of the six phones that have 4G technology enabled that can help you do things way better than your old phones. 4G technology can help you download much faster and upload information better. It will also help you play multiplayer games with the use of your phone. In simple terms, 4G means faster speed.
ThunderBolt is available in the Verizon network while Evo Shift is on the At&T and Sprint.

ThunderBolt Specifications and Features:

It has an awesome 8 Megapixel camera and video. It’s already pre-installed with Skype so you can chat and use the call system that it has.
The 4.3 inch High Def screen will let you watch clear cut videos. It’s like having your own LCD TV screen at the palm of your hands although smaller.
Do you love music? No problem. It already has RockBand in it so you can play guitar and drum on it. I just don’t know how you’ll do it.
Just like a tablet, you can use Thunderbolt to read ebooks.
It has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Some features are installed in the 32 GB microSD memory card.

The Evo Shift

MobileCrunch already came out with a statement that it’s just another T-Mobile dressed differently. It’s QWERTY keypad phone that’s very nice on the fingers.
Both ThunderBolt and Evo Shift will run on Android OS.
Although these phones are already publicized, the release date is still in question.

A famous XDA-developer named Maxycy is well known for his Max Manila project. His newest version, the Max Manila 2.6 beta lets you tweak most of HTC Sense’s layouts and functionalities.
You’re going to be able to cycle through different clock types with a simple tap on the screen, retract your slider and turn the interface to full screen and so much more.
With Max Manila, you ought to know that there are a lot of hidden shortcuts.
If you tapped the top-center of the screen where the carrier bar is located, you’ll be able to cycle up to 8 different clock layouts.
In full screen mode, if you tap the top-left part of the bar, it will open the start menu.
If you tap the top right part, it will open your battery monitor.
In disabled full screen, by tapping the top left, you’ll be able to go to the contacts tab while tapping the bottom right will head you to the setting tab.
Swiping left and right will let you go to Max Manila settings where you can change icons by just a tap.
