If you like to go around malls and shops, you’ll find Apple and Microsoft stores. These retail stores of course sell their products from smartphones, to tablets, and then laptops.
Now, HTC looks like it’ll jump also in the bandwagon of retail stores. HTC has already opened a store in Taiwan where they sell only HTC products and is also planning to open up two more stores.
Apparently, they’re also looking for partners that can help them expand in opening more than 100 stores in Taiwan.
It looks like with this bold move, HTC’s sales are climbing up and maybe now is off the charts.
I think HTC is making a great move because they really have great products that can compete with iPhone and other smart phones around. Their devices have evolved and it looks like it’s just getting better by the year.
Not only is it a good idea, but it’s going to be effective in teasing customers because they now can test the demo devices and see what HTC can do for them. Studies have shown that people have a bigger chance to buy anything that they can see, touch and experience firsthand.
HTC, Google and Microsoft would be glad because their sales would climb a little more than before in terms of which platforms the customer would choose.
As of the moment, the HTC retail stores look like it’s centered on Taiwan. But rest assured that it will open in other countries soon as well.
As HTC’s Telecom Executive Peter Chou said; “Our team has a set a goal of making 2011 the year of Asia for HTC.” It looks like they’ll be outdoing themselves because HTC is not only breaking grounds in Asia, but also in Europe and in America.
**Please note that the picture above is only a concept of the HTC store. It’s not final yet.
