How to set up and connect to a Wi-Fi network on HTC Legend
If you’re powering on your Legend for the first time, you can choose to select the Wi-Fi network you’d like to join using the setup manager.
When you opt in for either Mobile network or Wi-Fi, or just Wi-Fi, the device will by default try to connect to a Wi-Fi network near you.
Select the network you wish to connect to, enter the password if required and you’re set up.
If you want to change the settings, or set it up for the first time, you can do this through the settings menu.
Note: If you’re attempting to access a network-based page or app, you may be requested to set up a new Wi-Fi connection. When prompted, select the option to set up a new connection.
How to set up Gmail, POP3/IMAP and Exchange email on the HTC Legend
When you first switch on your Legend, you’re taken to the setup manager. Here, you can set up your email before you even get a chance to have a look around the device.
Gmail account setup
To set up your Gmail account here, tap the Google Account option. Here, you can choose whether you already have a Google account or want to set one up. If you don’t have one you can create an account straight from the device. If you already have a Gmail account, you simply have to sign in and you’re set up.
To set up a Gmail account without using the set up manager, head to the apps menu by tapping the up arrow at the bottom of the screen.
1. Select Gmail and next when prompted.
2. Choose to set up a new Gmail account if you don’t have one and follow the onscreen instructions
3. If you already have a Gmail account, select the option to sign in.
4. once you’ve signed in, your Gmail account wil be ready to use and you’ll start receiving emails instantly
